Tungaloy has announced an expansion of the AH8000 series used in turning heat resistant alloys, which has been one of the most popular turning tools on the market since its launch. This expansion adds a new line of positive inserts for this range of products. The new PVD grade, AH8000 series, has been specifically designed to turn heat resistant alloys. Utilizing the world's first AlTiN nano-multi-coatings with Al, this new grade provides greater resistance to notch wear, crater wear and cutting edge cutting in the machining of heat resistant alloys. The series includes the AH8015 grade, the first choice to achieve the best balance between wear and fracture resistance; and AH8005, the grade with high hardness for greater resistance to wear. These two grades are treated with PremiumTec: Tungaloy's special surface treatment technology that adds a highly polished cutting surface for greater stability and a longer tool life. With this new line of positive inserts, the AH8000 series can now encompass a wider range of applications in turning heat resistant alloys, which in combination with the existing line of negative inserts gives customers a dramatic increase in productivity. Main features: The AH8000 series features Al-AlNi multi-coatings with high Al content, and provides incredible resistance to fracture and wear in turning heat resistant alloys. The PS, PSS, and PSF breakers are available for positive inserts as well as the All-round chipper as a supplement.
