Uddeholm Corrax

detalhe

Description

Stainless steel for the injection moulding of corrosive plastics. This is the most advanced steel for overcoming the most demanding applications. The exceptional corrosion resistance in combination with a hardness of approximately 50 HRC makes it an ideal choice for injection moulding of reinforced plastics, medical parts, PVC and rubber. Due to its extraordinary resistance to corrosion, it allows a drastic reduction of maintenance costs and an increase of the series. Being a precipitation hardening steel, it is extremely simple to obtain hardness within the range of 32 to 50 HRC.

Main applications

  • Plastic injection moulds with high corrosion resistance in which very low deformation is desired during the heat treatment
